The Bremerton Housing Authority, like the Housing Authority of Washington County, was looking to make some significant improvements to many projects within their portfolio. This scattered sites project is 138 affordable housing units, in 33 different buildings, across 6 sites. While the scope, the goals, and the overall project requirements were much the same as the Washington County work, a key difference for this project is the Design+Build delivery method. Ink Built and Belfor Construction partnered on this project to create a Design+Build team that could do it all. Belfor, through there specialization of restoration work had in house relocation services and could manage the project schedule internally to ensure the least impact possible to the residents that were/are currently living in the buildings.
Ink Built is no stranger to design+build and while we love this delivery method because it allows us direct and early access to our GC partners to ensure our design and documentation is aligned to meet the project budget and scope, we take this same philosophy with GCs on all delivery methods. Our team is always looking to make the most impact with our budgets, and love to collaborate with our GCs to make that happen. This $22M project is currently under construction and is expected to be completed on schedule and on budget.
