MELYNDA RETALLACK

Principal Architect
(she/her)

Melynda is one of those super rare people who can legitimately say she is a Portland Native. Not one of those transplant hipsters who drinks coffee from a mason jar and always has the best jewelry although she does that too! In fact, Mel can probably be described as the quintessential Portlander. When she isn't hanging in the backyard gardening with her beloved chickens, or on a back-woods trek with her husband, you can probably find her cruisin' Hawthorne in her electric car on the way to Por Que No?.

Her down to earth sensibilities, and general bad-assery is not something she reserves for her personal life alone, but also her professional. Her career has included years working for well-established multi-family housing firms in California and Oregon and a decade working directly for developers - running their sustainable development. She is a passionate supporter of green building practices, and serves as Vice Chair for the Board of Directors for Camp Fire Columbia, and is the chair for their committee focused on master planning the next 100 years for the legendary Camp Namanu. She is a licensed architect in Oregon and Washington with over 20 years of experience in the industry and a LEED Accredited Professional.

If you aren't impressed yet, just wait until you meet her.
