Hlee Heur

Job Captain
(she/her)

Hlee thrives on juggling a million things at once and managing a diverse set of projects simultaneously. From her background as an Architectural Project Manager at Portland State University, she’s led everything from dorm remodels and labs to libraries and lounges — always with an eye for how design can truly serve people. She’s the kind of teammate who will nerd out on mechanical and electrical systems in the morning and then flip right into a community workshop by afternoon.

Her passion for community runs deep. For her thesis, she designed communal housing for the Hmong Widow and Orphan Community in Chaing Mai, Thailand, and she’s rolled up her sleeves volunteering with PSU’s Center for Public Interest Design to build sleeping pods for people experiencing houselessness. Her blend of technical chops and heartfelt empathy makes her a designer you want in your corner.

She’s sharp, caring, and has the kind of quiet determination that gets big things done. When she’s not diving into drawings, you’ll find Hlee connecting with her community, dreaming up new ways design can make life better.
