ARyn Phillips
Job Captain
(she/her)
Aryn brings a mix of grit, curiosity, and big-picture perspective to every project she touches. She started her career in Montana as a college intern working on single-family homes and K–12 schools, then moved to Portland where she jumped into public projects with the National Park Service, the US Forest Service, and civic clients. Since then, she’s added affordable housing, modular prototypes, hospitality, commercial, and multifamily to her portfolio. In short: if it needs to be designed and built, Aryn’s probably done it.
She’s not just about the projects, though — she’s about the people they serve. Aryn believes architects do their best work when they’re rooted in their communities, advocating for and alongside the people most impacted by design decisions. That’s why she’s drawn to affordable housing and community-based work, where she excels at keeping the mission in sight.
Outside of work, Aryn has poured her energy into leadership and service roles — from mentoring future women leaders in CREW Portland to supporting grieving kids as part of the Tamarack Grief Resource Center’s CARE Team. She’s caring, courageous, detail-oriented, and guaranteed to bring a steady, thoughtful energy to any project she’s involved with.
